After a few years’ hiatus, I’ve begun writing poetry again. Looking at my work, it quickly becomes obvious that I prefer to use the American haiku form. People sometimes ask me why, and I’ve never had a reason other than “I like it.” I’ve given it some thought, and now I have better reasons.
